In 1997, Diebold Eras began providing IP services and was so successful that the offering grew strictly through word of mouth. Starting out with software from other vendors, it quickly became evident that there were better ways to operate and Diebold Eras began developing software for internal use. Diebold Eras presently operates Item processing centers in Miami, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Nashville, Mexico City, San Francisco Bay and is searching for sites in the Los Angeles area as well as additional sites.
